Monticello, FL 03-23-11

It's springtime in Monticello.
The azaleas are in full bloom.
We have so many azaleas it's not funny.
When their all in bloom, it's a collage of colors.
The entrance drive to our house.
We love our old oak trees with the Spanish moss.
The back yard looking down on our lake.
More oak tress with different colored azaleas.
Our dock overlooking our lake.

Tallahassee, FL 03-17-11

We went to Rosie's elementary school for a musical that her class was participating in.
Savannah Lee decided to get a seat on the floor next to her brother.
Neil was supposed to paying attention to his sister.
Rose doesn't look too excited to be in the musical.
Rick and Lynda waiting for Rosie's speaking part.
 But first, a flute number.
Savannah Lee got tired of sitting on the floor and needed some attention from her G-ma.
Rosie getting ready for her speaking part.
She spoke about some of the history of north Florida.
On the way home, it was time for chicken nuggets at Wendy's.  Neil is ready to dig in.
Savannah Lee is concerned about something other than nuggets.
Papa gets his favorite, a root beer float.
Savannah Lee is checking out a frosty.
The evening ends with a pose.  Rosie, Papa, Neil and Savannah Lee.

Tallahassee, FL 03-08-11

We went to the Tallahassee Public Library to see a painting that Emily did that was on exhibit there.
This was her painting, depicting a cupcake.
The "famous" painter with her G-ma.

Athens, GA 03-06-11

Back at the Georgia baseball stadium on Sunday afternoon.
A pretty good crowd, even though about half was FSU fans.
It was still chilly, but at least the rain had stopped.
 Scott Sitz on the mound.
Checking the runners on base before making the throw.

 Letting the pitch go.
 Finishing his delivery.
 Mike McGee patrols center field.
The Georgia left fielder and center fielder collided head-first while chasing a line drive.  It was the most violent collision I have ever seen in college baseball.
The center fielder walked back to the dugout, but didn't return to the game.
Amazing as it was, the left fielder actually held on to the ball for an out after the collision.
Coach Mike Martin talking to the umpires during the injury time out.
The entire Georgia baseball team showing their concern over their teammate.
He was put on a back board and stabilized for possible neck injuries.
You could've heard a pin drop in the stadium while they were treating this player.
He was taken to the hospital where he had surgery on his neck the next day.
Coach Martin conferring with his pitcher and infielders late in the game.
Mike McGee takes a swing and....
 hits a double.
Mike McGee is not only our center fielder, but he is also our closer.

Getting ready to throw one to home plate.

Finishing a pitch for a strike out.
Tiwan Easterling, a wide receiver for the FSU football team, took McGee's place in center field.
We won this game to take 2 out of 3 in the series.
The players shaking hands after the final out.
