London 08-14-08

After arriving in London, and having traveled for 19 hours, it was time for some much needed breakfast. How about eggs, sausage, bacon, mushrooms, and get this.....baked beans!

About two blocks from our hotel is the London Eye, the highest ferriswheel type viewing platform in the world. We will be riding it on Saturday afternoon.

England still has the famous double decker buses and they seem to be full most of the time. You get around by either riding one of these or taking the underground.

London is a very large metropolitan city and if you are not careful, you can get lost here.

The London Eye is located on the edge of the river Thames. Along the river's boardwalk are street performers like these. When you put money in their containers, they will perform for you. They don't mind you taking their pictures, but if you try to get your picture taken with them and you haven't given them any money, they will turn away from the camera.
