Barcelona, Spain 11-18-10

After checking in at our hotel, taking a shower and a nap, we walked to the Placa de Catalunya to check out the night life.
There was a street band playing Catelonian-style music.  Catelonia is the state that Barcelona is in and was a country unto itself until Spain took it over.
Yes, there are Hard Rock Cafe's everywhere!

Barcelona, Spain 11-17-10

As most of you know, Lynda and I flew out of Tallahassee on Wednesday for Europe.  Here is our baggage at the airport curb.
So, what do you do when you are stuck in the international terminal of the Charolette airport for 4 hours?  Check e-mail!
When sitting in the Frankfurt, Germany airport for 2 more hours, you read the paper.
Our plane is preparing to take off from Frankfurt.
Frankfurt from the air.
Germany farmland from waaaaaay up.
You read a Kindle to keep from getting bored on all these flights.
Crossing over into Spain.

Coming into Barcelona.
The Barcelona control tower.
This is how you look after 4 airports and 18 hours....very tired!

Tallahassee, Florida 11-13-10

We're at a school to watch our grandson's last football game of the year and Lynda is swinging Dillan, who spent the night with us.
I was the "unofficial" team photographer, so I took photos of all the team members.  Neil was first.
 Mike gets a turn.
Then, Mike's cousin, Garrett gets in the lens.
We can't forget our two coaches and brothers, Mike and Rick.
The official team photo.
 Boys will be boys!
Mike takes a snap at quarterback.
Mike coaching on the bench while Hannah and Lynda share a laugh.
Mike hands off on a running play.
Hannah with her sister, Tabitha and their father.
Neil listens to a play being called in the huddle by Rick.
Neil prepares to hike the ball to Mike.
The snap is in the air.
 Mike has the ball.
 He's running toward the sideline.
Evading the rush on an extra point play.
Tabitha, Ryan and Hannah.
Neil has hiked the ball and is watching the play develop.
Rick and Little Mike in the backfield.
Dan, his brother Matt and their wives take in the game.
Always congratulate your opponent on a game well played.
I think the boys have more fun running through the post-game tunnel than they do playing!
Tabitha and Ryan.

Tallahassee, Florida 11-09-10

It's fair time again and we took 7 of our grandchildren, as is custom.
Savannah Lee was too small for the swing ride, so she had to sit that one out.
The boys liked the bumper cars a lot...go figure.
Lynda took the girls on this spin ride, a miracle in itself.
I know about now, Lynda was wishing she had made a different decision.
I love taking pictures of our "cutie".
Dillan is getting the hang of driving.
Couldn't keep the boys off of the bumper cars.
Getting ready for a dinner of corn dogs....a family tradition.
It takes a LOT of corn dogs to feed 11 people!
But when you see them enjoying the dinner, it is worth it.
Rick and Lori joined us this year and they were a big help with the kids.
The girls are in line for a ride with a friend they ran in to.
Waiting to get on a ride.  Auburn, Emily, Melina, their friend, Mike and Lori.
Think Mike is a little apprehensive?
Savannah Lee finally gets on a ride.
Her brother decided to join her.
About now, she is probably wondering why she decided to ride.
Papa gets some attention from Dillan, Neil and Savannah Lee.
Dillan and Neil getting ready to ride a roller coaster.
I didn't have too much room on this ride.
