Tampa, Florida 06-06-10

Lynda and I were able to get tickets to see the Carole King and James Taylor concert in Tampa.

They played in the round with a revolving stage.

Just a couple of 60s flower children reliving their past.

The band they played with was the same as when they first toured together in 1971.

They both accompained each other on all the songs.

After all these years (I saw them in concert in West Palm Beach in 1971) they still sound the same.

Carole occasionally got out from behind her piano and took center stage.

Here, they've just come back from a 15 minute intermission.  They played every big hit by both of them.

JT on the big screen above the stage.

A close up of Carole on the big screen.

I swear, JT sounds just the same as he did in his youth.

Rocking out on a song that Carole wrote.

The band embraces after the concert.

Carole and James taking a curtain call....

and coming back up for an encore.

They leave the stage after more than two and a half hours of playing together.  One of the best concers I have ever seen.
